Festival of Gardens North Wales - Saturday May 27th - Sunday June 11th 2017

2017 sees the second year of the North Wales Festival of Gardens, a unique event which brings together the finest gardens within one of the most beautiful regions of the British Isles. From Saturday May 27 until Sunday June 11, a total of 25 stunning gardens across the region will throw open their gates to thousands of visitors during the second Festival of Gardens North Wales. Over the sixteen glorious days in the spring of 2017 the great gardens of North Wales will be coming together to host a Festival of exciting, fascinating and entertaining garden events and activities - Festival of Gardens North Wales Brochure

More than 100 unique events are planned over the 16 days of the festival including musical performances, orienteering sessions, treasure hunts, bug hunts, gardening lectures, family treasure hunts, children’s trails and plant sales.

Gardens taking part in the festival include: Bodnant Garden, Tal y Cafn; Gwrych Castle, Abergele; Plas Yn Rhiw, Pwllheli; Caerau Uchaf, Bala;, Treborth Botanic Garden, Bangor; Crug Farm Plants and Parc Glynllifon in Caernarfon; Aber Arto Hall, Llanbedr;, Plas Glyn Y Weddw, Llanbedrog, Plan Tan y Blwch near Maentwrog; Portmeirion and Plas Brondanw at Penrhyndeudraeth, Nanhoron, Pwllheli; Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways; Plas Newydd, Llanfairpwll; Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, Menai Bridge; Plas Newydd, Llangollen; Bodrhyddan Hall Gardens, Rhyl; Nantclwyd y Dre, Ruthin; Dibleys Nuseries near Ruthin; Powis Castle and Gardens near Welshpool, the Centre for Alternative Technology; Machynlleth; The Dingle Garden near Welshpool.

The festival, which is being supported by the Welsh Government, will be officially opened at the beautiful Plas Tan y Bwlch gardens near Maentwrog in Gwynedd by Gardener’s Question Time chairman and former TV weatherman Peter Gibbs.
