Festival of Gardens North Wales - Saturday June 2nd - Sunday June 17th 2018

2018 sees the third year of the North Wales Festival of Gardens, a unique event which brings together the finest gardens within one of the most beautiful regions of the British Isles. From Saturday June 2nd until Sunday June 17, gardens across the region will throw open their gates to thousands of visitors during the third Festival of Gardens North Wales. Over the sixteen glorious days in the spring of 2018 the great gardens of North Wales will be coming together to host a Festival of exciting, fascinating and entertaining garden events and activities - Festival of Gardens North Wales Brochure

More than 100 unique events are planned over the 16 days of the festival including musical performances, orienteering sessions, treasure hunts, bug hunts, gardening lectures, family treasure hunts, children’s trails and plant sales.

Gardens taking part in the festival include: Plas Cadnant Gardens, Menai Bridge; Crug Farm Plants, Caernarfon; Plas Tan y Bwlch, Blaenau Ffestiniog; Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway; Bodnant Garden, Colwyn Bay; Plas Newydd, Llanfairpwll; Portmeirion, Penrhyndeudraeth; Caerau Uchaf Gardens, Bala; Plas Brondanw, Penrhyndeudraeth; National Trust Erddig, Wrexham; Chirk Castle, Chirk, Wrexham; The Dingle Garden, nr Welshpool; Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth, Bodrhyddan Hall, Rhuddlan; Nantclwyd y Dre, Ruthin; Penrhyn Castle & Gardens, Bangor; Powis Castle, Welshpool and Gwrych Castle, Abergele.

The festival will be officially opened at the beautiful Bodrhyddan Hall, Rhuddlan. A Grand 17th-century home with historical collections, formal gardens, tea room and guided tours. Tickets for this unique and exciting event, which will include a walk around the gardens with the gardener, afternoon tea on the lawn, talk by the owner and a guided tour of the house will be made available shortly.
